In response to large-scale human development and the environmental problems of the over-exploitation of nature and resource extension, the Executive Yuan’s Environmental Protection Administration, as the first-line government agency for preventing and solving environmental problems, takes a firm stance on solving difficult environmental problems. To keep pace with the trend of the times, it adopts various feasible measures to promote sustainable environmental development not limited to specific areas, thereby to facilitate the solving of environmental problems. Therefore, in order for the public sector to cope with the mode of “technology changing interaction between the general public and the government” which leads the general public to have higher expectations of the government as well as to respond to various challenges, scholars and elites were extensively invited to hold celebrity lectures through this plan. Through interdisciplinary brainstorming and the introduction of diverse perspectives, interdisciplinary new mindsets among colleagues were elicited. This, in turn, enhanced the public sector’s innovative idea development. Through this plan, a total of 13 celebrity lectures have been held. The results have been compiled into records of achievements, which shall be provided to this agency for policy promotion and for colleagues' reference. Moreover, in order to communicate on soil and underground water treatment operations, five articles translated into Vietnamese; Korean; and English as well as six articles of briefings and publications that facilitated communication were completed to improve the effectiveness of foreign exchanges.

Prospect of Soil and Underground Water, Interdisciplinary New Mindset, Public Sector Innovation
